"Square" Impact Roller

Broons Hire (SA) Pty Ltd has manufactured the "square" Impact Roller in South Australia since 1985, and around a thousand projects have been completed around Australia and overseas.

Roger G Bailey & Associates have been the Victorian agents for Broons Hire(SA) Pty Ltd since 1987.

Over this time we have formed a very strong relationship with the staff at Broons and have been involved in several hundred projects both in Victoria and interstate involving many Geotechnical Engineers, Local Councils and developers.                  Projects have included ground improvement on sites ranging from major infrastructure to small engineering projects, the rectification of old landfills, proof rolling of uncontrolled fill sites and compaction of waste dumps in preparation for capping layers.

This unique and highly productive "square" roller is used to proof roll and compact loose or uncontrolled fill, where conventional rolling is inadequate or inefficient. It is also used to reduce the permeability of the soil in irrigation or water retention applications. Rural road re-construction as well as pavement or subgrade re-compaction are other areas where the high speed and deep impact system is used.
